FlashParade - Marseille = Cancelled!

FlashParade Marseille is officially dead, for the “second” time. I recieved an email this morning from FlashParade apologising for there mistake, realising that they couldnt really organise a piss-up in a brewery, nevermind a full blown conference in Marseille. And thus the conference is now officially dead and the dates havent been re-scheduled. Oh well, C’est La Vie.

Dear Guy Watson,

In spite of all the efforts and devotion to organize Flash Parade, Vision Flash is now compelled to cancel the festival.

Given the circumstances and the high number of participants, it has been a very hard decision to make.

Together with our partners, we did our best to find a solution to maintain the festival in the best possible conditions but we have now come to the conclusion that it cannot take place in Marseilles on those dates.
Both your enthusiasm and our determination couldn’t overcome all the obstacles we have had to face for the past three months.

We are well aware of all the trouble for the cancellation of the festival. We do apologize and hope you will not hold it against us but we did try hard to overcome all the obstacles including the change concerning the dates (from October to December).

We really hope to be able to organize the same festival some other time, in another town and in better conditions.

We do thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
The Team of the Flash Parade
