PHP’s online documentation is nothing short of an invaluable resource for PHP developers. Yesterday, Actionscript.com announced the launch of Actionscript’s own online documentation - following the footsteps of an already well established and successful format, you will notice alot of similiarities between the Online Actionscript Reference and the Online PHP Reference. The main feature which puts this system ahead of the rest is the user contributed notes for each and every function, method, property, statement, pragma and class. Which means that it is left up to the Flash Community to document the syntax of Actionscript in the format and detail they desire. Myself and a few other contributors from the Flash Community have been, and will continue to be, adding documentation for every syntax element that exists in Flash MX. If Macromedia wont do it properly, then we will just have to do it ourselves.
