I will presenting a new session at the London Macromedia User Group gathering on Thursday evening. In the session we will do some live uasbility testing, i will show you how to make it so that your navigation system works with the browsers back & forward buttons, and also how to make sections of your site bookmarkable. Monday, January 10th, 2005So after a very successful Flash 8 Poll, over 2400 votes and counting, it seems that Flash Developers and Designers alike, all over the world, are waiting in huge anticipation to see if the Macromedia Flash 8 Player provides better actionscript performance. Over 30% of voters (730), a large percentage of people are looking forward to better actionscript performance and 17% of voters (364) people are excited about the proposed video capabilities of the new player that may allow us to create Flash Video with alpha channels. Im as excited as everybody, although my vote went down for Bitmap Filters.

MXDU 2005, Sydney
Thursday, January 6th, 2005The new super-hero themed website is up for the MXDU 2005 conference which will be taking place in the middle of February. The list of speakers this year is impressive and its almost certainly going to be a better conference/experience that FlashInTheCan 2005, the venue is better and so is the location, so dont waste your money on those tickets, buy yourself an MXDU ticket and join in the fun. Last year was a blast. Sydney is a great place for a short beginning-of-the-year break too, especially when it’s summertime over there! Hope to see some of you guy’s at the other side of the world.
